What causes diarrhea in cats? And how would I treat this without going to a vet?

My cat has been having diarrhea on and off for a couple weeks, she is still making it to the litter box but when I clean it out it's obvious she's having issues. Anything I can do to help her out? I do not feed her table food or any tuna or fish or milk. She's been on the same diet for months and is an indoor cat. She's never been out of my apartment in the four months I've had her. She is 8 years old and about 2 lbs overweight but otherwise healthy.

How long does diarrhea usually last after finishing antibiotics?

My son is 5 months old and recently has taken antibiotics for an ear infection. As soon as he started them he began to have green runny stools. Dr said that it was normal while taking meds but he finished them over a week ago and still has diarrhea. Is this normal?

How long does diarrhea last and how do I treat it?

So my stomach hurt yesterday really badly and all of last night i couldn't sleep because of severe nausea and bloating. Although it's early, most of the nausea has subsided however now i have very watery, frequent diarrhea. I know it's the bug but the only issue is, I have an Easter dinner tomorrow (my parents are having friends over and i REaLLY don't want to have this tomorrow) I know I'll have to let it pass, but are there any treatments or remedies i should do?
